In the autumn of 2013 the exhibition ‘ Trialogo ’ of the Spanish painter Gonzalo Orquín residing in Rome showing photographs of same-sex couples kissing in churches mainly located in Rome, has been pulled after the diocese of Rome sent the gallery a notice threatening legal action and saying that “the church is against the exhibition”. Later on the pictures and paintings of the artist are vandalized by graffiti! |
